Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders predicted former President Donald Trump will “win big” in the upcoming 2024 presidential election.
“I still think this is his race, he has clearly been the front-runner since the day he announced,” Sanders said in an appearance on Fox News‘s “America’s Newsroom” on Thursday.
“And he has not lost that status, whether it was in the primary or the general, and I fully expect that he’s gonna win and win big in November,” she added.
Sanders has historically supported Trump, although she suggested she was not interested in facing vetting as his vice presidential pick.
“Look, I absolutely love the job I have,” Sanders said in an interview on CBS News’s “Face the Nation.”
“I think it’s one of the best jobs I could ever ask for, and I am honored to serve as governor, and I hope I get to do it for the next seven years.”
Sanders also noted that Trump had “success” on issues like the economy and national security and has “big contrasts” with Biden on such issues.
“Because both of these people have been president, it’s a very different election, in that sense,” Sanders said.
“And the reason that people show up and they cast their ballot, those are all places that Donald Trump is absolutely crushing Joe Biden, and I think that’s why he’ll crush him in November.”
In April, Sanders said Biden’s failures with border are destroying America.
During an interview on Fox News, Jesse Watters asked:
“Governor, why is it so hard to deport people who don’t belong here who kick cops, drive drunk, and steal my grandma’s Social Security number?”
“Because we have a president who absolutely doesn’t care that millions and millions of people are coming across our border illegally,” Sanders said.
“He has the power to shut the border down, to stop it. He can reinstate the remain in Mexico policy. He could actually build the wall.”
According to The Hill:
“Trump is leading Biden nationally by a slim margin of 0.6 percentage points, at 44.5 percent support to the current president’s 43.9 percent. The two presidents are set to have their first debate next week on CNN.”
