Former President Donald Trump has raised a whopping $12 million during a fundraiser with tech entrepreneurs in Nany Pelosi‘s hometown of San Francisco.
The fundraiser, which took place at the home of Venture capitalist David Sacks alongside venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, saw a number of high-profile venture capitalists and crypto investors attend.
The cost of attending the event ranged between $50,000 to $500,000, depending on benefits.
Sacks introduced Trump at the event, who announced his endorsement of the former president in a post on X and Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH).
Trump previously slammed Democrats for their proposed increase in regulations on cryptocurrency.
The fundraiser is significant because it took place in blue San Francisco, which is represented by former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
The Daily Wire reported: According to conservative lawyer and Republican National Committee member Harmeet Dhillon, Trump was “relaxed, happy, and cracking jokes about AI,” at the event.
“$12M raised tonight! Incredible support for [Trump]. Not an empty seat in the gorgeous home of [David Sacks] and Jacqueline. Thrilled to see the tech leaders stepping up!” Dhillon posted on X.

Sources told Fox News that Sacks said at the event that “this all started with JD Vance calling and asking if we could host an event for President Trump.”
“Without JD’s advice and encouragement, this would never have happened.”
In his endorsement message of Trump posted to X, Sacks said that he was backing Trump over Biden because of several key issues, including economic policy, foreign policy, immigration, and legal fairness.
“My reasons rest on four main issues that I think are vital to American prosperity, security, and stability – issues where the Biden administration has veered badly off course and where I believe President Trump can lead us back,” Sacks said.
“President Biden keeps insisting that a return of President Trump to the White House threatens democracy,” Sacks said.
“But his administration is the one that has colluded with tech platforms to censor the Internet, used the intelligence community to cover up his son Hunter’s laptop, and pursued elective prosecutions against his political opponents.”
The high-dollar fundraiser comes as Trump’s campaign has pulled in hundreds of millions of dollars after he was convicted of falsifying business records in New York.
He has reportedly raised more than $200 million after the trial concluded last week.
President Joe Biden has long held an advantage in fundraising, but Trump has been closing the gap in recent weeks with strong numbers.
