Former daytime TV psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw called for Joe Biden to undergo a cognitive test to prove he has “nothing to hide.”
McGraw’s remarks come amid growing concerns about Biden’s age and mental health as the 2024 presidential election looms.
Bill Maher asked Dr.Phil whether Biden should take a test.
“People that have nothing to hide, hide nothing. So, why not?” Dr. Phil responded in the “Real Time with Bill Maher panel interview.”
At 81 years of age, Biden is the oldest sitting president in U.S. history.
As The Daily Fetched reported earlier this month, 86 percent of Americans believe Biden does not have the mental capacity to serve another term.
According to a poll by ABC News/Ipsos following the Special Counsel report that described Biden as “an elderly man with a poor memory,” meaning he should not be subject to charges from the classified documents scandal, Americans think Biden is incapable of serving.
The polls found 73 percent of Democrats think Biden is too old to serve.
A whopping 91 percent of Independents also feel Biden is too old.

Those concerns were only exacerbated by a recent report from special counsel Robert Hur, after reviewing classified documents found at his old vice presidential office and family home in Delaware, which described the president as an “elderly man with a poor memory.”
Biden angrily defended himself, his memory and age in a press conference after the report’s publishing. He cursed and insisted that his memory is fine, but later mistakenly referred to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as the “president of Mexico.”
Despite the mishaps, the president’s doctor released the results of his physical exam last week, but they determined he did not need a cognitive test. Trump has called on Biden to take one and said the results would prove “why he makes such terrible decisions.”
Trump said all presidents and presidential candidates should be required to take a cognitive exam. He’s also for years bragged about his ability to pass a test designed to detect early signs of cognitive decline or dementia.
Biden’s team and Democrats in Congress have maintained that he is capable of doing the job and is handling complicated issues — like the respective wars in Ukraine and Gaza, as well as the southern border — just fine.
Meanwhile, several Obama administration aides warned Biden is too “frail” to serve another term.
Chief speechwriter for former President Barack Obama, Jon Favreau, former Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett, and Tommy Vietor weighed in on Biden’s age in an episode of their “Pod Save America” podcast.
“If you watch Joe Biden speak, oftentimes he sounds frail, and he sounds more frail than he used to, even in 2019 and 2020,” said Favreau.
“The voice sounds frail, and he shuffles more because of the arthritis in his back. … He is mumbly, and I think that has an effect on people,” Favreau added.
Lovett argued that Trump is painting Biden as weak, working against him keeping the White House.
“When world events seem like they are overtaking him and he’s not out there enough forcefully, that’s what’s getting people concerned,” Favreau said.
“I’m sure that going out there means more missteps like confusing Mexico and Egypt … more gaffes that start circulating, but if you don’t view Biden being out there more as a net positive, then the argument he shouldn’t be running is right,” Lovett said.
