War Room host Steve Bannon will begin his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, on July 1.
The facility is not the minimum-security setup and houses violent offenders, CNN gloated.
“Not at all what Steve Bannon was wanting here,” CNN reporter Katelyn Polantz smugly said in conversation with OutFront host Erin Burnett.
The report noted that Bannon’s legal team had expected a less restrictive prison environment due to his non-violent status and lack of prior convictions.
The federal judge assigned to Bannon’s case ordered more stringent conditions.
Polantz says the prison is “behind ‘The Wall,'” an indication of a higher level of confinement than minimum-security camps.
“It’s different than a camp,” Polantz said.
“It has more confines for the inmates that are kept there.”
“Also, violent offenders can be kept in a low-security prison like the one Bannon is going to,” Polantz stressed.
Bannon also faces another court proceeding in New York this coming September.
However, if the charges proceed while he is in custody, the War Room host could transfer to Rikers Island, currently experiencing “historical levels of violence and death,” democrat City Councilmember Carlina Rivera said.
Meanwhile, Stephen Colbert also gloated that Bannon won’t get to serve his sentence in a relatively cushy “Club Fed” facility.
“But if he is not in a cushy white-collar prison, how will Bannon maintain his meticulous personal grooming?” Colbert mocked.

The National Pulse reported:
The authorities are treating Bannon differently from criminals like the late Jeffrey Epstein.
The pedophile could leave prison six days a week after receiving a 13-month sentence for procuring child prostitutes, with a private limousine transporting him between prison and his home and workplace.
Bannon received four months in prison for contempt of Congress for not complying with the corrupt January 6 Committee.
