Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer received a stone-cold response after he endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris as the new Democratic nominee at a press conference this week.
After announcing he was endorsing Harris, literally, no one clapped.
“We are here today to throw our support behind VP Kamala Harris!” Schumer said to a deafeningly silent response.

Upon realizing nobody cared, Schumer quickly tried to mask the non-response by saying, “I’m clapping! You don’t have to.”
When Schumer was asked to explain how switching Joe Biden with Harris without any public votes worked, he stated, “The bottom line: It was a bottom-up process.”
“People just rallied right to her side!”
“The enthusiasm in this big, diverse, representative party was amazing! It was palpable; you could cut it with a knife!”

Schumer was asked outright whether he forced Joe Biden to step down from the election race, which he did not deny.
The news comes after Black Lives Matter came out against Democrats for “anointing” Vice President Harris as the expected Democrat presidential nominee.
