Joe Biden made a discrete visit to his daughter-in-law’s home Sunday night, just days before she is expected to testify in the gun case against Hunter Biden.
The president’s visit to Hallie Biden’s home has raised eyebrows, notably because the first son was charged with lying on a federal firearms form when he bought a handgun in 2018.
What else are they planning on “lying” about?
Fox News reported that Hallie Biden, who was in a relationship with Hunter at the time, threw a gun belonging to the first son behind a dumpster not far from a school.
Before becoming romantically involved with Hunter, Hallie Biden was married to the president’s other son, Beau, who passed away in 2015.
Prosecutors are expected to use excerpts from portions of his book and the “laptop from hell” to convince a jury that Hunter Biden is guilty of making false statements on a form in 2018.
Prosecutors argue that Hunter was actively using narcotics while purchasing the firearm.
CBS News reported:
U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika handed both sides wins during the pre-trial conference, telling Hunter Biden’s attorneys they could raise some issues with the laptop evidence at trial.
But she sided with prosecutors about what they need to prove Hunter Biden’s drug use when he bought a gun in 2018.
They’ll need to show he was using or addicted to drugs around the time of the purchase, she said. The defense argued prosecutors should have to prove Hunter Biden was using drugs on the exact day he bought the gun in question.
Hunter has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
An NBC news reporter faced criticism for pointing out her connection to the trial on social media.

Hallie is one of the 12 witnesses prosecutors expect to call in Hunter Biden’s gun case in June.
Fox News reported:
In court documents, Hunter Biden’s defense attorneys asked the court to block certain salacious details of his life from being shown to the jury to avoid “significant risk of unfair prejudice.”
In what is called a “motion in limine,” Hunter Biden asked the court “to exclude reference to the child support proceedings in Arkansas and reference to his discharge from the Navy.”
This is in reference to the child he fathered out-of-wedlock with ex-stripper Lunden Roberts, whose daughter is President Biden’s grandchild.
Acknowledging that some of the evidence prosecutors wish to bring forward may be relevant to the case, including purported drug purchases, ATM withdrawals, and the purchase of the revolver, Hunter Biden’s lawyers said other details like references to money allegedly spent on “adult entertainment, online chat rooms, or escort services are not relevant to the charges.”
