A North African beauty influencer died suddenly from a suspected heart attack while on vacation in Malta; she was just 36 years old.
Farah El Kadhi was aboard a yacht near the harbor town of Msida when she was discovered unconscious on Monday.
The influencer was rushed to Mater Dei Hospital before being pronounced dead.
The Daily Mail reported:
“Local media reports say she had no signs of injuries and had arrived in the country for a one-week holiday. An autopsy will be carried out, and a magisterial inquiry has been opened to confirm the cause of death. Fellow Tunisian influencer Soulayma Hneynia, who lives in Malta and took part in the first series of Love Island Malta, was among those who raised the alarm when she could not reach her.”
Following the news of her death, Hneynia added that her friend died “peacefully in her sleep” after a suspected heart attack.
The Times of Malta reported she was in Malta on holiday, while also promoting a series of companies and services through Instagram posts. Her profile featured posts of her in St Julian’s and aboard a boat docked at the Vittoriosa marina, among others.
Hneynia described El Kadhi as a “truly wonderful person, known for her kindness, generosity, and warmth.”
“Her positive spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her,” she added.
El Kadhi boasted over 1.1 million followers on Instagram, had a successful fashion line, and posted her luxurious international travels.
She was known as “one of Tunisia’s most popular social media influencers,” the Times reported.
