New footage has emerged showing former President Donald Trump‘s would-be assassin, Thomas Matthew Crooks, wandering around the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, just two hours before carrying out his assassination attempt from a nearby rooftop.
Crooks can be seen in the clip walking around an area with vendors selling Trump merchandise.
The clip was captured by an employee with Iron Clad USA, a clothing company, around 4:26 p.m.
During this time, a local police officer sent a text to his colleagues informing them he had spotted a man sitting at a nearby picnic table, who was believed to be Crooks.
Crooks’ moment leading up to the assassination attempt has been closely monitored. However, it is not known whether the investigators had received the footage.
As he walked by, the would-be Trump assassin could be seen wearing the gray infamous Demolition Ranch t-shirt and white shorts.
Authorities later found Crooks’ backpack, bike, and the rangefinder he brought to the Butler Farm Show grounds.

It appears that the original video came from a small business owner who was selling patriotic hats before the rally.… pic.twitter.com/ogFiUZ5Dhn
The Secret Service and local law enforcement saw Crooks multiple times before the shooting but failed to do anything.
During the time of the video, snipers sent texts indicating that Crooks was in a different location.
James Woods, a Beaver County sniper, sent a text message to colleagues telling them he had seen someone at a picnic table “about 50 yards from the exit” after he had finished his shift.
“Someone followed our lead and snuck in and parked by our cars just so you know,” Woods wrote.
“I’m just letting you know because you see me go out with my rifle and put it in my car so he knows you guys are up there.”
The text was sent around 4:26 p.m., around the same time the footage was taken.
It is also unknown how long it took for Woods to send the text message before spotting Crooks.
Woods had been positioned in the American Glass Research (AGR) building on the second floor with Beaver County sniper Greg Nicol, which was right next to where Crooks fired from.
The AGR building was 0.4 miles away from where Crooks had been filmed.
