Cartels are now in control of the southern border while law enforcement watches helplessly as millions of illegal immigrants continue to pour into the U.S.
An anonymous Border Patrol agent discussed the grim reality during an appearance on News Nation‘s “Dan Abrams Live” last week.
The purported agent described the chaotic and dangerous situation unfolding at the border under Joe Biden’s watch.
“We do not control the border; the cartel controls the border,” the agent told correspondent Ali Bradley.
“Everything that we do is a reaction to things that they have planned,” he added.
“Usually, we’re chasing around pawns while the kings and queens are doing whatever they want,” the agent explained.

The unnamed agent also noted how law enforcement is painfully ill-equipped to handle the situation at the border, leaving American citizens exposed to the danger of the cartels.
“No one is coming to protect you,” the speaker warned.
“Even at the local law enforcement level we’re seeing them be defunded and overwhelmed, to where — your life has to be threatened for them to make you a priority,” the agent said.
“So no one is coming, and you better self-help, self-protect,” he added.
When asked if he was afraid for his life, the agent said he was not afraid of the danger because of his “relationship with God” and was more concerned about others working for Border Patrol.
The agent also said he believes the administration is deferential to the immigrants while being hostile to the agents.

He also said those in charge of the Border Patrol refuse to back up the agents on the ground, leaving them vulnerable.
“That is probably the biggest demoralizing factor for border patrol right now is, even if you’re right, you’re wrong. Even if you’re trying, you’re trying too hard.”
Now, with emboldened drug cartels, the U.S.-Mexican border has become lawless.
Since Joe Biden took office, the record number of encounters with illegal immigrants has topped all-time highs with 1.7 million so-called getaways who have entered the country since 2021, according to statistics.
