Conservatives are raging over Hunter Biden’s “sweetheart plea deal” with the “weaponized” DOJ after he pleaded guilty to two counts of “willful failure to pay federal income tax” and entered a “pretrial diversion program” for a firearm offense.
It also appears Hunter Biden’s plea deal inlcudes him not facing prison time and will get off with a slap on the wrist, Breitbart notes.
Similarly, President Donald Trump likened the punishment to a “traffic ticket.”
“Wow! The corrupt Biden DOJ just cleared up hundreds of years of criminal liability by giving Hunter Biden a mere ‘traffic ticket.’ Our system is BROKEN!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
The deal for Hunter comes just a week after Trump was arraigned on 37 counts relating to classified documents he allegedly stored at his home in Mar-a-Lago.
Trump faces 400 years in prison if convicted on all counts.

Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., said the deal “reeks of favoritism and brazenly reveals a system where there are two tiers of Justice.”
“If you are a Republican, Biden’s DOJ will throw the book at you and try to put you in prison for 100 years, but if you happen to have the right last name like Hunter, they will protect you and treat you with kid gloves,” he added.
President of the watchdog group Judicial Watch, Tom Fitton, tweeted that the “sweetheart plea deal” is “an ‘in-your-face’ show of contempt for the rule of law,” adding that it “Avoids prosecutions tied to foreign bribery and Joe.”
Dr. Sebatsian Gorka concurred with Fitton, tweeting that it is a “sweetheart plea deal from his Daddy’s DoJ and IRS.”
Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy said the deal is “a feigned retreat & reveals they’re even more scared than ever of scrutiny for the real crimes.”
Conservative social media influencer Rogan O’Handly weighed in, “Boy, it sure pays to have your daddy in the Oval Office.”
Businessman Bernie Moreno, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, said any other American would be in jail:
“Instead of receiving the punishment any other American would receive, he gets a slap on the wrist,” Moreno wrote. “America gets another slap on the face as they see a two-tiered justice system.”
Sen. Tom Cotton (shared the same sentiment, tweeting that “if anyone without the Biden last name engaged in even a fraction of Hunter’s misconduct, they’d face real consequences.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene also blasted the deal:
“Hunter Biden pleading guilty to a gun charge and misdemeanor tax charges with no jail time is a stunt to make him look like he is just cooperating with the DOJ.
